Home Assistant Nest is a privately operated integration for authorized household use. It uses Google's Smart Device Management API to access supported Nest thermostat information and send authorized control commands.
Information processed
Depending on the thermostat and configuration, the integration may process temperature, humidity, operating mode, target settings, device identifiers, and device status. Google handles authentication and API access.
Use and storage
Thermostat information is used for household monitoring and automation. Home Assistant may store device states, events, and history on the operator's own systems according to its configuration and retention settings.
